3188.0. "DEF1H power availabilty" by WOTVAX::TAYLOR () Fri Jan 19 1996 15:13

   Hi,

    Can anyone tell me quickly what the available power breakdown is for a
 DEF1H ?

    I am trying to work out whether 2 supplies will give redundancy for the
 two modules I want to configure. The total power is within budget for 1 supply
 but I want to check individual rails.

   Thanks

       Richard.

    ....From the DEF1H installation guide EK-DEF1H-IN

    Output power 10 amps max 81 watts available to power the module.
                    1A@+5v 7 watts available to support the AUI port.
                  .12A@+12.0v maximum power consumption (DEChub ONE
                    2A@+15v cooling fans, module and AUI) 90 watts.

3188.2Minor nit found with DEF1H output power numbers....NETCAD::BATTERSBYFri Jan 26 1996 13:4112
    After blindly posting this information verbatum from a hard-copy of
    the rev A01 DEF1H installation guide I have in my office, I was told by
    someone to question the number I typed for the +5v current.
    The rev A01 DEF1H installation guide is wrong. The current available
    for +5v should read 10 amps, not 1 amp. Apparently there was a zero
    left off.           ^^
    I will check this with our documentation folks and verify whether there
    was ever a newer rev of the manual printed. If not this change will
    get added in at some appropriate time I guess when other changes might
    be needed.
