3131.0. "DS90TL reboot while double-click" by HGOSPS::FEYNMANLO () Tue Jan 09 1996 05:32

    Hi,

    I have a customer managing  DECserver 90TL in DEChub90.
    Sometimes when he double-click the module in the HUBwatch
    (v.4 for windows) in the front panel, he get a server
    reboot.

    The server software is BL44-10.

    Does he need to upgrade the Access Software?

    Thanks

3131.1Sounds like a broken server to me.SLINK::HOODMy God, what have I done to my spleen?Tue Jan 09 1996 14:1416

No, that should work. My guess is the server has a hardware problem, or its
internal software is corrupted in some way.

I don't know what kind of diagnostics are available for the server, but run
what you can. Does self-test give any warnings?

[The reason I think it's some kind of broken server is because HUBwatch is
very gentle on the server. Double-clicking the server bezel in HUBwatch
merely sends the server some SNMP GET-NEXT requests, which are handled
just fine by BL44 server software.]
