    Could you provide a diagram showing the config and describing where the
    problem exists? And provide the firmware revs on all modules.

    I've forwarded this to some of our guru's here at LKG. Stay tuned
    hopefully for an answer.

    re .0

    You probably won't get much of an answer until you provide the data
    requested in .1

2875.4Firmware revisions and configHAN::JCARSTENSThu Oct 19 1995 09:4545
    Hi Bill,
    thanks for quick reading and answering my question.
    The firmware levels are:
    	DECbridge 900MX and DECswitch 900EF ----> DEFBA150.BIN
    	DECconcentrator 900MX		    ----> DEF6X301.BIN
    	PORTswitch 900CP		    ----> DECPM202.BIN
    	DEChub900			    ----> DMHUB402.BIN

    Now I will try to show you the configuratiion:

      		  A		  B		  C		  D
    		-----	    SUN	-----		-----		-----
    	   |----| 9 |	 G   ---| C |	  |-----| 9 |		| 9 |
    	   ||---| 0 |----   HP	| O |     | |---| 0 |		| 0 |    E
    	   |||--| 0 |  H |   ---| N |	  | |	| 0 |-----|    	| 0 |----
    	   ||||-| C |--	 |  DEC	| C |	  | |	| E |---| |	| M |  F |
    	   |||| | P |  | |   ---|   |	  | |	| F |	| |	| X |--- |
    	   |||| -----  | |	-----	  | |	-----	| |	-----   ||
           ||||        | |        ||      | |     ||    | |       ||    ||
    FDDI   |||| =======|=|================|=|===========|=|===========  ||
           ||||        | |                | |           | |             ||
    LAN1   |||| -------|-|----------------|-|-----------|-|-------------||-
           ||||          |                | |           | |             |
    LAN2   |||| ---------|----------------|-|-----------|-|-------------|--
           ||||                           | |           | |
    LAN3   ||||---------------------------|-|-----------|-|----------------
           |||                              |           | |
    LAN4   |||------------------------------|-----------|-|----------------
           ||                                           | |
    LAN5   ||-------------------------------------------|-|---------------
           |                                              |
    LAN6   |----------------------------------------------|---------------

	   Some more info for D: HW=v0/2,ro=v0.2
    	                  for C: HW=v1/2,ro=v0.4

    The problems is:

    	From the SUN connected to B, over FDDI to D, then over E or F to
    	G or H at A and from there to clients connected via 10B2 NFS is o.k.

    	But from SUN connected to B, over FDDI to C there's no NFS function
    	over the four connected ethernet ports to A.

    This may be related to a problem in DEFBA150.BIN (fixed in 1.5.2).
    I suggest that you upgrade your DEChub, DEF6X and DEFBA's to the revs in
    the 4.1 consolidated firmware kit.
