2653.0. "DEC UNIX vs Windows show differences" by CSC32::RA_HALL () Thu Aug 17 1995 23:51

I have a customer that is seeing some differences in Hubwatch between
the DEC UNIX platform and the DOS Windows platform.
They are running Hubwatch V4.0 on both and have upgraded the DH900
and all the modules with the latest DCF kit.
    	The differences are as follows:

In the Environmental summary, the Dos platform shows the fans on
the DC900MX as yellow. The DEC UNIX platform shows them as red. All other
    modules are normal.
The Dos platform reports the DH900 firmware to be 4.0.2. The
DEC UNIX platform reports it as 4.0.0
The Dos platform reports the DC900MX firmware to be 3.0.1. The
DEC UNIX platform reports it as 3.0.0. All other modules report no
    differences.

    Thanks

It may not matter, but from a customer point of view, the same product on 2
platforms, should return the same answers.

Could you elaborate on the "manufacturing purpose".

There are some extra diagnostics that are run by manufacturing, at the
time the product is built. Changes to those diagnostics are not visible
    to anyone else.
