2507.0. "NET.CFG destroyed by HUBwatch V4.0 installation" by STRWRS::KOCH_P (It never hurts to ask...) Thu Jul 13 1995 00:02

I have a customer who is using the ODI Netware interface for HUBwatch.
Upon installing HUBwatch, it OVERWROTE the NET.CFG file but didn't tell
us it was doing it or ask our permission. Is this a bug in the HUBwatch
    installation procedure?

Imposssible! HUBwatch installation does not provide a NET.CFG file. The
installation only provides a NETFG.TMP file which the user has to modify
manually and rename to the NET.CFG filename. This procedure is documented
in the READ_ME.TXT.

You should not be installing with the network if you have a network setup
already. Even in this case, the NET.CFG would not get overwritten because
we do not provide a NET.CFG file.

NO.

Well, it must have been some strange co-incidence then. Before we
started, the NET.CFG was working with their software and after HUBwatch
was installed, it was a simple, plain NET.CFG. Strange. I better call
    Mulder & Scully.
