2270.0. "900TM factory reset. What to expect?" by CGOS01::DMARLOWE (Wow! Reality, what a concept!) Wed May 10 1995 21:08

We had an incident where someone disconnected the thinwire leg on a
900TM that was supplying IP Services to the hub. Because I didn't have
any UTP crossed cables I couldn't get into the DS 900EF after setting
that slot as IP Services. So I did a factory reset to the 900TM but
    the thinwire leg remained disconnected.

Is this expected behavour of a reset on the 900TM? If so, is there any
way to get the thinwire leg defaulted back to the thinwire without
    hubwatch?

The MAM remembered where the ports were supposed to be connected
(or not connected in this case) and put things back where they were
before the 900TM went into the reset. This is because the module was
    not removed from the hub.

If you pop the latch for that slot (remove/insert), the MAM will 'forget'
the configuration for that slot and you will lose your other
connection but the thinwire port will be connected to the thinwire
    segment by default.
