2187.0. "HW V4 upgrade" by HERON::codger.vbo.dec.com::HEMMINGS (Lanterne Rouge) Wed Apr 12 1995 15:28

I have Hubwatch X.4.0.8 which I need to be able to manage a GIGA/F and have
problems upgrading from V3.1.0.

PC333 with DEPCA, came with just DOS V6.2, Win V3.1.

I installed my V3.1.0 and after checking the faultfinding in the HW Inst and
Conf manual, all is well and working.

I tried to install the new version and selected HW, network and config. The
copies appeared to have gone OK but at the end it insists it cannot find the
network files. I have checked the pointers, cold-started a couple of times
to no avail. The same thing happens if I just try to configure the network.

I upgraded from V3.1.0 to this X version on another PC which had already
Pathworks V5 running through a PCMCIA card, in this case I only installed
HUBwatch and it's fine.

	What TCP/IP stack are you using?? Is the TCP/IP stack started
	before you start WIndows 3.1. Try PING before you run HUBwatch
	from a DOS prompt/box.

2187.8Require more info, PLEASE answer all questionsNETCAD::WAGNERCOFFILMon May 15 1995 18:5613
	What TCP/IP stack are you using?

	Click just once on the HUBwatch icon to select it and select File
	menu Properties... option. Does the command line match the directory
	where you installed?
	Instead of using the ICON, double click on the HUBWATCH.EXE thru
	the File Manager. Do you get the same results?

	Does the HUBWATCH.EXE exist in this directory?

	Do the HUBwatch environment variables match this directory?
	Type SET at the DOS prompt to check.

2187.9Using HUBwatch provided TCP/IP StackGENIE::FUCHSTue May 16 1995 07:489
    I am using the TCP/IP Stack whitch comes with HUBwatch.
    This Stack seams to work. I can do pings and sethosts (telnet).
    To me it looks more like some Windows/HUBwatch and LABTOP relatet
    Problem.

    To verify my HUBwatch Kit i installed HUBwatch on an old DECpc 325 with 8
    MB Mem, DEPCA Card and it just worked fine.
