2014.0. "Upgrade firmware pointer needed" by DPDMAI::DAVIES (Mark, SCA Area Network Consultant) Tue Feb 14 1995 17:17

    Where can I find the latest DECpacketprobe 90 code for my probe?
    90?

    Also, where can I find the latest RoamAbout Access Point code for my
    Access Point?

    Also, are instructions available for downline loading these units?

    Mine are both originals and have never been upgraded.

    Thanks,

    Mark

2014.1for DECpckprobe90: ns3210.s using BootpULYSSE::LOUISWed Feb 15 1995 06:3412
Mark,

I think the lastest firmware for DECpacketprobe is the NS3210.S (V2.1)
located into the DEChub Consolidated Firmware Kit V1.1.

You have to use bootp to down load the code of the DERMN,
but (for me) I had to use bootp from DECrou to down load the software
successfully.

Mark,

For the DCF011 kit you can try on

NETCAD::PROJ$722:[ONEHUB.RELEASE.FIRMWARE.V1_1...] DOS or VMS directory...

    There is now a later kit on the network (V2.3); you can get it from
    NAC::NIPG:[MANAGE.RMON]NS3210.S There are no Release Notes for
    this version yet.

    You need TFTP to load the image.
2014.5But the relaes notes talk of Vn 3 !ONOIS1::GAIRNSWed Mar 15 1995 07:4411
    The release notes accompanying the DOS 3.1 version of HUBWATCH state
    that V3.x of the probe firmware are required for complete
    compatability.

    Is this so?

    If so where is it?

    Regards

2014.6It's really V2.3 you needNAC::FORRESTWed Mar 15 1995 17:055
    Sorry, my mistake - I thought at the time that the next firmware rev
    would be called V3. something. Instead, it is V2.3. See previous note
    for location.
