1925.0. "900gm cable documentation" by CHEFS::DAVIDSONS () Tue Jan 24 1995 10:12

Can anyone give some help on the available cables for use with the 900GM
repeater. Specifcally telco to AUI.
I need a reference of where the information is held.

    I don't understand what you mean by "Telco to AUI."

    The only cable we made specially for the 900GM was the octopus cable
    mentioned in the previous reply. The 900GM's Telco connectors are
    industry-standard 12-port twisted pair pinout.

    The 900GM's front-panel AUI connector is industry-standard AUI. Plug
    in a MAU or a cable, as you prefer.

1925.3Do I need a patch panel?NETRIX::"porambo@maasup.bjo.dec.com"Bob PoramboFri Mar 21 1997 19:0614
Hello,

  I am attempting to bypass the customer's wiring to/from a DECrepeater
900GM. I need the BN26U cable. Do I need a patch panel in addition to
this cable, or, can I connect a TP cable from a node directly into the
end of the BN26U?

  I seen references to the H3107-N, H3117-NA/NB/NC, and H3117-MA. Which
of these, if any, do I need?

Thanks,

Bob
