We are having a customer experience PC hangs and drops to a pathworks
server. the network is configured using fddi SAS connections using:
- gigaswitch
- decconcentrator 500
- dechub900's with decbridge 900MX and decrepeater 900tm's
the customer believes that 30 to 50 users experience the problem at
the same time, while total users are 150 or so.
He also believes that multiple hubs and segments are involved.
The decrepeater 900tm are configured on each hub as a bridged LAN
segment, bridged thru the decbridge 900MX.
the decbridge 900MX's is 1.4 version
the decrepeater 900TM's are at 1.1 version
we are seeing numerous resets (at the hubs, bridges and repeaters) and
wonder if these resets have a relationship to the hangs and drops.
its difficult to know exactly when a drop or hang occurs, some users
reconnect and don't tell anyone or the customer help desk.

Questions:
How do we know if we are getting Unsolicited RESETs from the console?
How do we know if we are getting Unsolicited RESETs from Hubwatch?
Do users get dropped when these resets occur?
Do we have a bad card(s) or a firmware bug?
How do we gather additional specific information to narrow the
problems?
