1621.0. "Probewatch Agents file (windows)" by SPANKY::SAWYER () Wed Oct 26 1994 16:37

    Why doesn't an agents file already exist in
    C:\probew directory?

    When I try to add an agent into Probewatch it won't take the
    IP address complaining that it can't be longer than 8 characters,
    so I put in the name but it can't find the Agent File to Resolve it.

    What is the format of this file and what should it be named?

    thanks

    It sounds like you have installed an older kit; I think that version
    had to be installed in \NSCLIENT or something like that. Anyway, it
    is looking elsewhere, probably in a directory that doesn't exist, for
    the Agent file. It only takes names, not IP addresses.

    You might be better copying the latest kit from the same directory;
    make sure you read the README.TXT file first.

    What is the maximum number of packetprobes that can be placed into the
    agent file? Any limit on the number of agent groups as well as agents?
