1604.0. "Dual power sources" by JAYJAY::KORNS () Fri Oct 21 1994 19:01

I've seen/heard we are working on a device to allow two power
sources to the DH900. I seem to remember it was being worked
with a 3rd party as either a reference sell or a buy-out.

I got this as a real requirement from Dow Chemical this week
and said I'd check into it. What's the status? Who would be the
right person to talk to?

Dave,

     Dual power will be the H7661-AA. It should announce and ship next month.
I will have one next week at NETACAD. Price hasn't been set yet but probably
either $300 or $500.

    Dave,

    The POWERswitch (Product name for the H7661-AA) is being built this
    week in order to be submitted to the agencies for Safety Testing. This
    process takes approximately 10 weeks to complete. Once we have approval
    to ship from all three agencies (TUV, UL, & CSA), then we'll begin the
    manufacturing ramp. I don't believe we'll have units available for
    shipment until sometime in January, possibly February. If you need more
    information, you can contact Deb Flint, Product Manager for the
    POWERswitch (DELNI::FLINT). Hope this helps.
