1451.0. "Problem on HubWatch for Window V3.1 ? !!! ?" by DV780::MATSUSHITA (JA3QVP) Tue Sep 20 1994 14:58

    Hi,

    I copied Hubwatch for window V3.1 from NAC:: directory.
    I found that this version do have some problems. The following is our
    configuration:

        Compaq Deskpro 66m with EISA configuration
        DEC EtherWORK 3 TURBO (205) EISA configuration
        MSDOS V6.2
        MSWindow V3.1

    	DECHub 900 MS
        DECagent 90 (Slot 8)

    I can ping DECagent 90 from this PC. But if I use Hubwatch program to
    connect to DECagent 90, I got "No response from the agent" message.
    Without changing the configuration on DECHub 900 and DECagent 90, I
    installed V2.0 of Hubwatch for window. It does work. I can connect to
    the DECagent 90.

    Do I have to do something different for V3.1?

1451.1Things to check forSTEVEV::VINGERHOETTue Sep 20 1994 17:0413
Here are a few things to check for:

When you installed X3.1 did you update your icon to point to the new image?

Do the variables 'HUBWATCH_LIBRARY' and 'HUBWATCH_SYSTEM' in your autoexec.bat
point to the new image directories?

If you are trying to run under OpenView, there is a possibility of running
out of sockets. You can increase the number of sockets by modifying the
parameter 'UDPMaxSock' in the pwtcp.ini file. If you increase it to 10, that
should probably do the trick.
