1327.0. "Hubwatch/GIGAswitch rate limiting documentation" by NPSS::MDLYONS (Michael D. Lyons - Young enough and dumb enough) Fri Aug 19 1994 14:08
...cross posted from the GIGAswitch notes conference - this appears to be
a Hubwatch documentation problem...

I'm trying to set the Rate Limiting values for the GIGAswitch and have
come across the fololwing:
- in the Manager's Guide V1 June 1993 P3-21 it states that the Rate
Limiting variables are "Maximum Bytes-per-second".
- in the Hubwatch V3.0 GIGAswitch Hyperhelp it defines Rate Limiting
as the "maximum number of frames per second".
What, if any, is the correlation between the two ?
Regards,
David.

...well, the GIGAswitch documentation is correct for the GIGAswitch.
Perhaps the Hubwatch documentation is confusing the GIGAswitch with
some other product.
If you don't mind, I will cross post this note in the HUB_MGNT
conference for more visibility.
