Customer got replacements for faulty concentrators and installed them in the hub with MAM 3.0. The old concentrators are HW=V1.0 RO=1.1 SW=V2.0 The new concentrators are HW=V2.0 RO=V1.2 SW=V2.0 One FDDI lan is created and all the concentrators are connected to the FDDI lan channel. All system are in the same IP subnet. All systems connected to the old concentrators can talk to each other. All systems connected to the new concentrators can talk to each other. BUT SYSTEMS ARE NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER WHEN CONNECTED TO OLD AND NEW. It seems like there are 2 seperate FDDI lans internally, when there are all connected to only 1 FDDI lan. Is there a compatability bug between HW and RO versions of the concentrators?? Raj Singapore
