Subtle redirect...
Motif 'print screen' stinks. (and it's the only way to obtain the
required info needed after a bridge failure)(i think)
My Current understanding is that should
a DECbridge fail, the replacement bridge will not restore connections
but require manual intervention to reconfigure the LAN interconnects.
Although this is the real problem, I would suggest that better print
capibilities are needed ,Motif and MSW screen grabbing are tacky at
best. (especially if that is the only way to document the correct
solution so an OPS person can swap a module simpley.)
Boy, would I sure like to see the MAM take responsibility to
Store Interconnect info even if it only works if a new bridge is placed
in the same slot as a failed bridge

| I know that what I've done out here in the engineering lab is to
use a VT220 connected to either a DECHUB One console, or to the
HUB console, and then connecting an LA75 printer to the printer port
of the VT220. Then I get the particular menu I want on the screen,
and then use the print-screen key on the VT220. I know this isn't
as good as being able to display it on a window for soft-copy purposes,
but I can capture what I need.

| Using a console connection to the Dechub900 won't give me the Lan
Interconnect configurations for the various IMB connections. This is
not needed only for a situation for when the bridge fails but also for
troubleshooting. The configuration that the customer has should be
documented so that anyone walking into that customer site can
understand the customer's configuration. If for some reason Hubwatch is
not available it would be nice to have the configuration documented in
a hard copy format. But thanks for the feedback and I will try the print
screen under the session manager. The only printer I have is an
LA210...not sure how that will look.

| In version 4 of HUBwatch is planned to be a backup / copy / restore utility
that will allow you to save configurations to a file, copy configs from
module to module, or restore a backed-up configuration.
Is this what you're looking for?
In the mean time, there's Print Screen (use grayscale, not b&w).
