	A customer I work with a lot wants to run 48v DC into his hubs, and 
would like to know the Cable part number and/or the pin outs for the 48V 
feed.

	Can someone please supply the details or point me to the place to 
ask,

   I've been meaning to post this information in the notes file for a
few weeks now, but haven't had a chance to do it. Here's the information

   The connector part number that resides on the HUB is 12-36226-03. It's a
26 pin Subminiature D Sub connector. The mating connector does not have a 
DEC part number assigned yet, but will in the very near future. 

   The information provided above is taken from the DECHUB 900 System Spec-
ification written by Rich Graham. Let me know if you have any further 
questions.
I'm in the process of ordering a cable that will be used to test the 
operation
of the HUB with an external 48V source. I'll let you know if I run into any
problems or surprises.

    Has there been an up date on this? I too have a customer that wants to
    run the hub from 48VDC. Do we have a part number for the cable?

    Jim, Bob Macarthur is currently off site on a business trip.
    I've poked around on this to some folks and haven't come up with 
    an answer yet on a possible cable part number. Maybe we'll have an

    .1 gives the pinout.  Please can we have an explanation of the function
    of those things that are NOT +/- 48V ?
    
    For example, do any of these pins provide signals suitable for
    connection into exchange alarm systems ?  An alarm would be required
    when a Power supply failed, and ideally when a module in the hub
    failed.

    	Is the 48V DC definitely an Input only (ie is there a
    diode/rectifier which prevents power coming OUT of the DEChub900.
    
    	If memory serves me correctly, telepone exchanges usually have the
    +48 rail grounded.  Is this the case with the HUB900 ?
