    HI,
    
    After set up DB900MX in customer site, we have the following findings:
    
    1) DB900MX configured with port 3(1st UTP port) to Thinwire and other
    ports for Front-panel control.
    2) DB900MX was mounted into slot 8 of DH900 (V3.0 hubmanger) and
    DB900MX runs with DEFBA V1.2.1 (latest DCF kit) from note 1008.
    3) Configuration of DB900MX via HUBwatch for VMS V3.0.
    
    But when we dismount DB900MX from slot 8 and plug it back to the same
    or differeent slot (e.g. 7, 5 that we try), the thinwwire connection is
    LOST, then we cannot connect other 90modules in that DH900 anymore.
    BUT, if we power off the DH900, then DB900MX still configured with port
    3 to Thinwire. 
    
    Then the question is, if we swap a new DB900MX (for some reason) then
    we have to re-configure it to Thinwire or other Flexi-channel?
    
    Does it the same for DR900-FP, DC900MX or other DH900 modules that
    support Flexi-channel?
    
    
    Problem is, there is no way that we can keep track of the configuration
    on the flexi-channel except the modules are still operational (via
    HUBwatch). Or customer have to keep a very clear/updated network
    diagram with ALL the assignment of these flex-channels.
    
    
    Any ideas!

    That correct.  Currently, when a module is removed from the hub
    all backplane connections for that module are lost.  
    
    However,
    when power is cycled to the hub then the backplane connections
    for the modules in the hub are remembered.
    
    We are looking into adding a save/restore feature to HUBwatch V4.0
    that will allow the user to reconfigure their network when backplane
    information is lost.
