1092.0. "Upadting firmware in the DH900" by BIGUN::WULFF () Thu Jun 09 1994 09:51

Hi,

I cannot work out what I am doing incorrectly in loading the frimware into the a
DH900.

I have a DEChub900 that has in slot one DECrepeater900 two has DECserver900 five
has the DECrepeater90FA and a DECbridge900 in slot eight. The hub is connected
via the AUI port on the network.

The DECrepeater is supplying the IP services. All modules except the
DECbridge900 are connected to the Thinwire on the backplane. An ip address was
assigned to the hub manager.

From the UCX system we could ping the Hub manager without any trouble etc.

Initiated the load and the load started. It managed to get the hub description
rev levels etc and then another line that I cannot remember what it was (I think
it was putting it into downline load moad). Then timeout! I tried several times
without any success.

This is the command I used with the IP address.

DOWNLOAD LOAD /FORCE=HUBMANV2/MODULE=9 MOM$LOAD:MAMcode

Thanks for any help!

Hi, I had some similar experience. It timed out when trying to
send the the new firmware. But after reseting the MAM it worked
	for me.

A -very- late reply (I seem to have missed this note):

>From the UCX system we could ping the Hub manager without any trouble etc.

This means that you have IP connectivity, good.

It looks like you have set a community other than the default "public"
in the HUB manager. In this case you have to specify it:

DOWNLOAD LOAD /FORCE=HUBMANV2/MODULE=9 MOM$LOAD:MAMcode /password="cccc"
