1069.0. "No response from DECrepeater 900TM" by BACHUS::VANDENBERGHE () Fri Jun 03 1994 16:31

    Hi,

    This is a new one..
    I just have installed Hubwatch 3.0, (new functions such as alarming and
    environnment monitoring is great) but I have also a new problem.

    All the modules of my hub were upgraded (Only the DECserver 900TM, I
    can't find the NAS containg version 3.1, BL80-29 this is not on the
    last CD, only 1.3 version BL80-27)

    The problem is on a DECrepeater 900TM HW=v1, RO=v1, SW=v1.0G.

    This module is the IP server for the MAM (Version 3.0).
    The IP address is 16.183.32.230
    A ping on that address is OK

    If I click on the module, after a 2 seconds I receive the message 'no
    response from the agent'
    If I click ON AN INDIVIDUAL port the access is OK.
    So it looks like a familiar new feature .. a bug.

    Can somebody have a look on that,
    Thanks in advance,
    Robert

1069.1May Need A MAM Reset with Current SettingsNACAD2::DRAGONMon Jun 06 1994 13:2310

    Robert,

    	What may be your problem is that you have set your read/write
        SNMP community string without doing a MAM reset. If you have set
        the community string and have not reset your MAM, you will get behavior
        similiar to what you are seeing.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob

	I have switched off my hub during the week-end and now it work,
	so the reset seems to work.

	Thanks,
