962.0. "DA90 and remote DECbridge90?" by WARABI::CHIUANDREW () Fri May 06 1994 05:27

    HI,

After reading notes 911 and 889 I still have some questions on
    HUBwatch:

Customer have a DECagent90 in DH900 where it has Brouter90s,
DECserver900TM, DB90 in central site and this DH900 will be managed by
HUBwatch for VMS (v2.0) and there are several remote sites running DH90
    connected via Brouter90s. Remote DH90s have DECrepeater90T,
DECserver90L and DECserver90L+ and DECbridge 90 (some with DECbridge
90FA). There is NO DECagent 90 in remote DH90s.

    My questions are:

    1) Can we manage the remote DH90s from Central site's HUBwatch for VMS
via the DECagent90 in DH900? Or do we need a DECagent90 in each
    remote DH90?

    2) What protocols do they talk between DECagent90 and DECbridge 90?

    Thanks in advance for help!

Yes as long as there are DECbride 90's in each DEChub 90 and
the DEChub 90s are on the same LAN as the DECagent 90

        2) What protocols do they talk between DECagent90 and DECbridge 90?

HUBwatch talks SNMP to the DECagent 90. The DECagent 90 talks RBMS
    with the bridge.

See the HUBwatch Install and Configuration Guide for information on
how to setup you agents and HUBwatch.

    Regards,
