931.0. "Testings made on 90 and 900 models ?" by STKAI1::MERICSSON () Mon Apr 25 1994 07:43

Hi,

Is there someone who knows what kind of certifications the
90 and 900 modules are going through in terms of approvals for different
electrical standards i.e VDE, UL and so on?
I'm looking for the CE-mark on our modules for the European
market.
Can someone help me out here ?

Thanks,

Magnus

931.1Yes, all these tests are normally done for these productsLEVERS::BATTERSBYMon Apr 25 1994 13:137
    All Hub products (and all DEC products for that matter), have
    to go through a standard set of tests/approvals for FCC, UL,
    VDE, CSA, etc. in addition to a battery of DEC standards testing
    such as DEC std. 134, 102,103,104 etc. Tests of course are run if
    they are applicable and required for the specific product.

931.2What about the CE-mark ?STKAI1::MERICSSONMon May 02 1994 07:014
Thanks for the info, but I need to know if our
products are tested and certified for the CE-mark....

931.3Yes the products that currently require it have it... butLEVERS::BATTERSBYMon May 02 1994 13:159
    Yes they are, that is that currently the DEChub ONE, and the
    DEChub 900 Multiswitch currently have the CE-mark on them I
    believe. Apparently there is some very recent perturbation around
    the CE-mark and where and on what pieces of a product it should
    go on. I would suggest you contact Bill Bogert KALI::BOGERT for more
    details on what is surfacing and what may or may not be required
    in the future on this issue.
