Raj,
The tool that is used on the EISA card for upgrading the firmware is
called DECblast. This is distributed with the diskettes that ship with the
module. The reason that DECndu is not tested with the EISA is because there
were multiple drivers and operatring system supported, each requiring
special work and testing. Instead there is a loacl utility, DECblast, that is
used to do the same thing.
Another tool that ships with the adapter is DEClma - local management agent.
This is for configuring, assessing status and diagnosing problems via MIB
objects.
Call if you still have questions,
sharon

Note 914.0 NDUplus EISA/FDDI, netbind hangs!! No replies
ZPOVC::RAMARAJ 18 lines 20-APR-1994 11:08
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The NDUplus diskette used with the etherworks card(depca.dos) work
fine, on DECpc.
When all the neccessary changes are done for EISA/FDDI card(DEFEA),
up to dllndis works ok. But netbind hangs the pc?
The PC is compaq server(pentium).
The eisa/config utility has been run and the DEFEA driver has been
added to the system config.
Booting is ok,
defea.dos load ok,
protocol manager is loaded ok,
dllndis is ok.
Only NETBIND hangs and the PC has to be reset.
Has anyone seen this problem?
Raj
