863.0. "Standalone MAU" by MLNCSC::RINALDI () Mon Mar 28 1994 07:28

    Hi all

    looking at the installation manual of DECmau 900TL (EK-DTMAU-IN.A01)
    there is picture showing the DEChub ONE for mau
    What i cannot find is the part number for this DEChub ONE
    Another strange thing is that looking at page 7 of the installation
    manual the power cames from an external power supply (H7082-AB) when
    normally is provided by the DEChub ONE itself
    I am a little bit confused.

    Any help will be appreciated

    Many thanks in advance

863.1Different Docking Stations (DEChub ONEs)LEVERS::DRAGONMon Mar 28 1994 12:1010

    Hi,

    	The DEChub ONE refered to is not the same DEChub ONE as the docking
        station for the full height modules (ie DETMM). It is another
        docking station, which requires a separate power supply. Based on
        the Network Buyers Guide, if you order the unit as standalone you
        get the docking station.

    Hi Bob,
    thanks very much for your help.

    I know that is another docking station. The problem is that i ordered
    the stand alone version for Italy which is DTMAU-AI and i received a
    MAU with a beautiful DEChub ONE AUI port for Ethernet
    This is way I need the docking station for Token Ring if the part
    number exists.
863.3MAX Docking Station?LEVERS::DRAGONMon Mar 28 1994 15:136

    Did you get a DEChub ONE docking station for a full height module with
    a DTMAU-AI? I didn't see a separately orderable part number for the
    DTMAU docking station.

    Hi Bob,
    you understand my problem perfectly.
    If a separately part number for DTMAU docking station doesn't exist I
    have to order a new DTMAU-AI.
    I'm very happy!!!!!!!
    In any case thanks very much for your help.I appreciate very much.

863.5additional info on the DTMAU rear coverKALVIN::SOHAWed Mar 30 1994 21:0616
    Alex,

    You're right.

    We do not have a separate order number for the DTMAU docking station.
    You must order the standalone unit. The docking station for the
    DTMAU is an extended rear cover for the min modules which contains
    circuitry for RI and RO and a power connector, power is provided by
    a stand alone power brick (which is also included).

    We'll double check the parts list to seee why you got a MAX docking
    station instead of the correct one. I'll post whatever we
    find out.

    Sorry for the confusion and error - Mike S.
