788.0. "Management Bus slot sensitive?" by WOTVAX::HATTOS (I think, Therefore I'm paid less) Thu Mar 03 1994 13:45

    I have been configuring a DH900MS with 2 DR900TM and 2 DR90C and 1
DS900TM. I have discovered a peculiar problem which has me baffled so
thought I would voice it here.

I originally set up the Hub Manager with an IP address and selected one
of the DR900TM's in Slot 4 to provide IP services. I also set up that
repeater with its own IP address and community etc...

I fire up Hubwatch and the Hub appears, however when I double click on
the repeater providing services, I get an 'Agent did not respond'
    message.

I configured the other repeater the same way and stuck it in slot 1,
same problem. I then decide to put the repeater in slot 8. Hey presto I
can manage it fine, I moved the other repeater into slot 8 and I can
    manage that too.

Do I have two faulty slots? Or is there something else wrong?

Double check in the DH900MS which slot it is getting it's IP services
    from.

788.5No definitely slot 4DELBOY::HATTOSFri Mar 04 1994 07:406
    Hi Dave,

It was definitely set for slot 4. When I moved the repeater I changed
it to slot 8 and it sprang into life.
