785.0. "DECconcentrator 900MX standalone" by MLNCSC::RINALDI () Thu Mar 03 1994 09:01

    Hi all,

    up to now the DEF1H docking station for the concentrator 900MX is not
    available yet.
    This means that i cannot install the concentrator in a remote site
    standalone.
    Can i use the dechub ONE docking station DEHUA-** ??
    I will not use the AUI port, but I will go directly to the PMD
    connectors
    Any idea?
    Many thanks in advance

    Yes, you can use the existing docking station; you just end up with a 6
    port concentrator. You can use the OBM port on the docking station.
785.2applicable to DECbridge too ?LFOIS1::MOUSSUso unusuaL terMWed Sep 14 1994 13:136
Does the same possibility exist for DECbridge 900 MX.
(DEHUA + DEFBA)

If so, what else does the current DEChub ONE FDDI (DEF1H-xx) provide.

    For the bridge you need the higher power version of the docking station
    - I don't have part numbers in front of me.

785.4DEFBA-MA works in DEHUA-NB (90 watt DS)NACAD2::BATTERSBYThu Sep 15 1994 19:594
    The DEFBA-MA will work in a 90 watt docking station DEHUA-NB
    but will not work in a 45 watt docking station DEHUA-MB.

785.5Technically the DEFBA-MA will also function in a DEF1H-MB but...NACAD2::BATTERSBYThu Sep 15 1994 20:417
    The DEFBA-MA will also function in the new high end docking
    station DEF1H-MB as if it was connected to a 90 watt DEHUA-NB.
    The bridge though won't be able to use the FDDI ports on the back
    of the DEF1H-MB today. The next firmware wave release will support
    this I believe.
