760.0. "Hubwatch for VMS and alternate TCP/IP stacks" by BAHTAT::JAGOTA (Anil Jagota @RKG, DTN-831-3174) Thu Feb 24 1994 09:04

I have a customer who has a TCP/IP stack called TCPWare, any one know if
Hubwatch for VMS can use other TCP/IP stacks such as this one?

HUBwatch for OpenVMS, in addition to supporting UCX, also supports TGV/Multinet.

HUBwatch for OpenVMS V2.0 has limited support for TGV/Multinet.
                     V3.0 has full support for TGV/Multinet.

We looked briefly at Wollongong, but haven't made much progress there.

Both of those companies provide UCX emulation. That means their shared
library files have the same routine names and the same file names as UCX.

If TCPware does the same thing, it *might* work. But the repeater's
Find Address function probably won't work, and some other non-SNMP
functions might not work, either. But this is unsupported and untested.
