154.0. "Clearance requirements for rackmounted DEChub 90's" by KALI::SCARAMUZZO (Network Integration Channels Supt.) Wed Feb 10 1993 13:02

Hello All,

Just to let you know. An issue came up where a salesperson was
questioning the recommended clearance(top & bottom) on rackmounted HUBS. The
DEChub 90 Ethernet Backplane Owner's Manual(EK-DEHUB-OM-001) page A-2 shows a
clearance requirment of 12 inches. Also the DECconnect manuals show rackmounted
DECHub 90's that seemingly are stacked one on top of another with no clearance.

Engineering has told me that clearance for rackmounted DEChub 90's
need to be 3 inches or more on both the top and bottom of the HUB. Please
note this information for future configurations/sales situations.......

								Thanks,
								-Pete
