118.0. "X errors" by WELLIN::MCCALLUM () Thu Jan 07 1993 10:59

    I am new to hubwatch, just installed t1.1.2

    I am getting loads of X errors - are these normal ?

    X Toolkit Warning: Cannot convert string "Shift <Key>DRemove
    " to typ
    e VirtualBinding
    X Toolkit Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>DRemove " to type

    X Toolkit Warning: ... found while parsing ' <Key>osfLeft: Ma
    ...

    I also find I have to be /usr/kit/DH90 to see the uid files or I get

    X Toolkit Warning: MrmFetchWidgetOverride: NULL hierarchy id -
    MrmBAD_HIERARCHY
    Can't fetch HubWatch information window.

    and it hangs. Is this normal ?

    Thanks

Dave,

The fact that you have to be in /usr/kits/DH90 directory to see the .uid
files is a bug. We are currently looking in ./uid for the .uid files.
HUBwatch needs to look in /usr/kits/DH90/uid.

So until the next release: setenv NMS_DIR /usr/kits/DH90

The translation problems usually show up when the Motif window manager
is NOT running. They could also be a result of the file
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/DH90 resource file not being found.

Sorry it took me so long to get back. We are looking for HUBwatch
bug reports in SLINK::DKB0:[HUBWATCH]HUBWATCH-BUGS.NOTE
