43.0. "MIBs supported by DECagent 90?" by SHIPS::SMITH_J (Jeff Smith) Mon Apr 27 1992 12:18

What MIBs (if any) do we intend to implement in the DECagent 90. I am
reading some note from Spider, and they refer to the RMON MIB which
they intend to support for faily comprehenisve network monitoring
functions (e.g. for an Ethernet probe), and also the HUB MIB which
seems to be something that we might implement in the DECagent.

    Any plans?

The DECagent 90 supports 7 groups of MIB II (skips TCP, EGRP, Transmission).
It also supports the Bridge MIB, the RS232 MIB, and the Character MIB for
the DECbridge 90, and the DECserver 90L, 90L+.

The HUB MIB firmed up too late for us to implement, and would have forced us
to put an agent in every hub, but we did borrow from an early version.

The RMON MIB was never a goal for a hub management agent. After the DECagent
ships with version 1.0 firmware, we'll look into how much of RMON can be
supported using the RMON MIB.

43.2New and improved DEChub 90 MIB for the DECagent 90ROGER::GAUDETBecause the Earth is 2/3 waterWed Nov 10 1993 12:0610
The latest DEChub 90 MIB, located at
QUIVER::PROJ$722:[ONEHUB.RELEASE.DENMA.V1_1]DH90_MIB.TXT contains all the latest
updates and corrections to variable descriptions that we have discovered to
date. In addition, this version contains what we believe is a proper definition
of the (currently) lone enterprise-specific trap, hubTopologyChange(4),
generated by the DECagent 90 V1.1.

Please let us know if there are any problems.
