951.0. "Exchange via DECserver LAT connection" by ZGOMIF::HWLEE () Fri Mar 21 1997 06:57

Hi,

Just want to find if MS-Exchange will work via a MUXserver/DECmux with only LAT
connection.

PC is connected to DECmux via serial port (COM1:) and current use VT320.exe
to connect to VAX via LAT protocol.

No, Exchange uses a networking protocol such as TCP/IP or Netbeui.
LAT is a local area (terminal) transport protocol. To do Exhange
you would need to do PPP (point-to-point protocol). The MUXserver/DECmux
only handle LAT and Telnet.
