947.0. "Routing messages from user to user to ..." by SHRCTR::peterj.shr.dec.com::PJohnson () Fri Mar 21 1997 00:06

I am confused when it comes to routing messages. I don't seem to be able to do this from Exchange,
itself, only from MS Word under the File... menu.

Doesn't Exchange support routing of a new message from within Exchange? Is there any more useful
help on routing? It sounds quite useful if I can get the lightbulb to turn on...

Thanks,
Pete

There is an Outlook Template form I pulled off the Outlook
	site at www.slipstick.com. It's at:

	http://isg25.zko.dec.com/kits/Microsoft/Outlook97 free stuff/

Look for routemsg.zip. It has some VBscript code in the form
	to handle routing.

Dumb question here: what does .2 have to do with .1? I'm using Exchange,
not Outlook. I'm just trying to use some apparent routing capabilities
of Exchange.

P.S. How do I eliminate this >80 column stuff?

The same way you did it in .3, I'd guess. Just make sure the window
in whatever you're using to enter notes (looks like NetNotes or
Teamlinks) is under 80 columns wide.

    Of course, you could
    make the window
    really narrow and
    eliminate any doubt
    about the matter.

RE: .3

You could use the stuff pointed to in .1 to maybe create
your own routing form using the Electronic Forms Designer?
The rest is left as an exercise for the reader.

Oh, and use the text below to format your screen width.
