881.0. "mail address translantion table ????" by FIREBL::LEEDS (From VAXinated to Alphaholic) Fri Feb 14 1997 23:28

Okay - I've found it in here before, but now I can't seem to locate it.....

Where's the magic chart for mail addresses for sending into/outof Exchange
and:

VMS Mail
ALL-IN-1 mail
Internet addresses
Teamlinks

For example, I know that to send from ALL-IN-1 to exchange I can send to

  name@mail.dec.com@exchange

but what about sending from VMSmail to Exchange and vice versa.... a nifty
table would be nice....

	From VAXmail, it's the same as sending mail to the Internet.

If UCX is installed:

	To: SMTP%"foley@mail.dec.com"

If UCX is NOT installed: (use one of the RMC's)

	To: USxRMC::"foley@mail.dec.com"

Well, I do have UCX installed, and SMTP enabled, but when I try to do the
above I get:

%MAIL-E-ERRACTRNS, error activating transport SMTP
%LIB-E-ACTIMAGE, error activating image
FIREBL$DKA300:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.][SYSLIB]SMTP_MAILSHR.EXE;
-RMS-E-FNF, file not found

Should I follow this up in the UCX conference ??

Thanks for the pointer in .2, it helps alot.

881.4SMTP service enabled?CGOOA::OWONGSKIWI in Canada (VAO)Mon Feb 17 1997 10:266
    Have you enabled the SMTP service?

    A quick search of the UCX*.com files shows that the ucx$smtp_mailshr.exe
    image is installed from the ucx$smtp_startup.com procedure.
