848.0. "Exceptions to Out-of-office Assistant's reply once rule?" by LEMAN::JRS (John SHADE - 'Attila the Nun') Thu Jan 30 1997 12:22

With the old Office Filter product, I could define a rule that said "reply once
with my out-of-office message *unless* the mail comes from one of these
addresses" (in which case don't reply). The Exchange out-of-office assistant
doesn't seem to have this flexibility, since it *always* replies once with the
defined message. Does anyone have any good ideas as to how one might achieve
what I want?

Where does the out-of-office assistant store the addresses of mails that it's
replied to (so as to be able to enforce the reply once rule)? Maybe it's a case
of adding the addresses to which you don't want replies sent to that file...

Thanks in advance,

-John

The Inbox Assistant has, under advanced options, an option called
"only items that do not match these conditions".

On the surface, it sounds like this should work.
