Software for "Fax Group 3" Modems for - send and - receive wanted. I look for a software, that 1. converts e. g. - ASCII text files, - images (bitmap/pixel files, GEM) - 1stWordPlus documents including images into Fax Group 3 Format, and sends this to a Fax-Modem connected to serial COM. 2. receives incoming Faxes, presents them on screen (convert Fax Format to image), and optionally prints them. I'm aware of a program "ST-Fax" of a company TKR, Kiel. But it is unsure if this works with their hardware only or with "all" Fax-Modems. Ordering ST-Fax just for fun would be too expensive. I've an IBISLINK 9624VAP, Modem and Fax-Modem. Any help is appreciated. Alfons

I just ordered a copy of STRAIGHT FAX, a new product from some small software company in Pennsylvania, USA. It has drivers for Calamus, ASCII, .img files, etc. I'll report on it once I try it with my SUPRA 9600 baud fax modem. I'll dig out the address and phone number is anyone's interested. Gil |
