995.0. "LEISURE SUIT LARRY 2... HELP PLEASE!!!" by SEDSWS::DAVID () Thu Nov 01 1990 11:12
I am currently playing Leisure Suit Larry 2 and seem to have come up
against a brick wall!!! I am on the island with the volcano and have
ventured my way to the river bank, but no matter where I position him,
I cannot get him to cross the water via any one of the vines, all I
get is you're not close enough!!! Please could somebody tell me what
I am doing wrong and whether or not I am missing any items that will
enable me to reach a vine. I have been tyring to REACH and GET and JUMP
ONTO the vine but with no luck.
POSSIBLE SPOILER.
So far I have 374 points and am carrying Hair Restorer, Barf Bag and
Matches. Please could anybody tell me if I have the correct amount of
points at this stage and whether or not I am missing something in my
inventory and if so where to get it.

you just have to follow the strange pattern ( walk .....)
if you have more problems just ask me, i complet the game 2 weeks ago.

SORRY ABOUT THE WRONG HELP .
NOW THE RIGHT HINT:
YOU HAVE TO GO AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE VINE (NEAR THE ROCK )
THEN YOU HAVE TO JUMP TO THE VINE AND AS YOU REACH THE SECOND VINE
JUMP AGAIN AND AS YOU REACH THE THIRD VINE JUMP AGAIN. THATS THE ONLY
WAY TO CROSS THE RIVER (FULL OF PIRANHAS).
PS: DON'T FORGET TO TAKE THE VINE AFTER YOU HAVE CROSSED THE RIVER

THANKS FOR THE HELP... I ACTUALLY FINISHED THE GAME LAST NIGHT.
IT SEEMS THAT I WAS POSITIONING OUR HERO INCORRECTLY SUCH THAT HE
WAS STANDING RIGHT BEHIND THE VINE ITSELF RATHER THAN TO THE LEFT
SIDE OF IT.
