622.0. "Logic Analyser" by SUBURB::JAMESH () Tue Oct 03 1989 06:51

In the October 89 issue of Elektor magazine (UK) there is an article
about a logic analyser for the ST. Here are the details:

    Hardware:
8 TTL Channels, 2 Mz sample frequency, 31 kbyte memory,
selectable sample rate, External clock input,
External trigger input, Selectable trigger polarity,
    Connects to ST DMA port.

    Software:
Data read after triggering, Selectable trigger polarity,
6 scroll speeds for data window, Zoom function
Pulse timing with cursor counter, Disk storage/retrieval of samples.

    Chips used are 74HCT series: 74, 04, 32, 86, 4040, 4051, 245, 375
    plus a 74121 and a 7805.

A PCB is available for 5.25 pounds and the software for 10 pounds.
Unfortunately there is no listing. Sounds nice. I shall wait a couple
of months for any amendments then go for it.

    ...Howard.

Cheap enough, but 2MHz isn't very impressive.
That's 500 ns per sample. Any information that
	it could be sped up?
