539.0. "Budget & Language Software" by PNO::HEISER (bash-n-the code) Wed Jul 19 1989 21:22

I need to know if there are any ST programs available that fit into
one of the 2 categories below.

Home Budgeting: including checkbook balancing, investment tracking
    and portfolio management.

Foreign language tutorials (i.e. Spanish, French, German,...)

    Thanks,
    Mike

I use Phasar for home budgeting and think it does a good job. In the
reviews I've read it has always come out on top. It currently sells for
    around $60.00 through discount places.

I have own Isgur Portfolio for a couple of years and have just recently
got it to work properly (had a real problem getting it to install and
run properly until I added a hard disk). E.A. Brown had a close out on
it recently for around $25.00. Original price was $200.00.
The developers (Batteries Included) went out of business and
Electrtonic Arts picked up the package but may drop support.
It features good graphics, a message system, telecommunication module for
automatic updates, and buy/sell history. However, it does not provide
historical pricing wave graphs. It compares puchase price with last
updated (current) price for bar graph displays and reports.
It is worth the $25.00 and I think I can help you get it installed.
Again, I found it was real "buggy" on a two floppy system but I think I
    found the install problems.

Note 140.0 had another request for investment program but I have not had
any luck finding a program for myself.

Anyway, I too am looking for an investment tracking/portfolio program.
Help please...does anyone know of a commercial or public domain program
    out there?

539.4I found stock market program!!COORS::B_NOTTINGHAMBill NottinghamThu Jul 20 1989 16:5616
I found a stock market investment program that looks pretty good:

    STALK THE MARKET
    Quidnunc Software
    Suite 175
    P.O. Box 819081
    Dallas, TX 75381
    (214) 243-0663
    $79.95 (I just ordered a copy for $49.95 thru 1ST STOP, 800-252-2787)

Found the advertisement in ST Informer, June,1989.
Looks like every thing you need to do technical trading- buy/sell
    indicators including moving averages, etc.

I will provide update when I get the package if anyone is interested.
