154.1I'm not easy, but for the right priceNACMIS::R_OLSONTue Jul 05 1988 19:365
    I might be interested. How firm is that price? Is that a DTN number or
    a good old fashioned MA BELL version? R.S.V.P. DTN:226-5526 here in
    beautiful downtown Littleton. Whats on the disk that I might "inherit"
    as part of the deal?

154.2I's SOLD !!NACMIS::R_OLSONTue Jul 12 1988 14:379
    Note:

    I bought it, am happy I did - so far. Now all I got to do is figure out
    how to configure the system with my current single-sided floppy and the
    built-in Astra double-sided drive available at the same time. Anybody
    got any ideas? Must have something to do with the other cable hanging
    off the Astra, n'est ce pas?
    If you know, dtn:226-5526, or mail nacmis::R_OLSON

    Re: .2

    Yes, simply plug the "other" cable into the "other" connector on
    your single sided floppy and you should be off and running. I don't
    own one, but I have seen them hooked up.

154.4Still no successDELNI::R_OLSONTue Jul 26 1988 19:2411
    Sorry Dave... Have tried hooking up "other" to "other" (aka "out")
    on my SF254 single-sided drive without success. I think the problem
    is related to the way the system boots. I have the ASTRA boot disk,
    which came with the disk, but one or two files that are supposed
    to reside in the "auto" folder were missing. I downloaded some new
    versions of the latest rev. of the boot files from Compuserve in
    the wee hours of the morning two days ago, but haven't had time
    nor energy enuf to play with em. To date, I cannot get to the "B"
    drive - the built-in double-sided floppy in the Astra - at all.

    Did you try plugging the DS drive directly into the ST and bypassing
    your SS drive? If that didn't work then I think you have a problem
    with the DS drive. Maybe there are termination resisters that need
    to be removed?
