1060.0. "SWFeline Looking for Mister Right (Maybe)." by FHQ::JENNEY () Mon Jan 25 1988 16:22

I finally got my NOTEBOOK fixed so I can Write as well as Read.
    (After 3 years)...

I live with 3 Beautiful Felines, 2 spayed and 1 New addition to
the household who just went into heat ! (Guess she wasn't spayed.)

My original intent was to have her spayed shortly after I found
out that she wasn't....now....I'm having second thoughts.

She is Beautiful. I've been told she's an Apricot Siamese,
(new breed?) White, with Apricot colored Points, Blue eyes,
Apricot striped tail, complete with Siamese Kink. Her fur
is as thick and soft as a white rabbit, and her face is short
    and Not wedged.

Everyone that meets her wants to take her home Even my friends
    that "hate" cats !

I'm sorely tempted to "let-her--litter"...However....I'd have
to find "Mr. Right". No stray Tom for my baby...(but it might
be a little late) She was out with a "friend ?" the night she
    went into heat.

Would like some friendly advice, or "Mr. Right stud service"

I'll introduce Crystal 12, and Pattiwhack 6, in another note
when I've got Lucky Lady calmed down.

    Thanks for any input.
    Marilyn

1060.1Finding MR RIGHT3736::WINBERGTue Jan 26 1988 18:114
Even if she met "Mr Right" that first night, she can be bred again
    during her present heat.

Why not check with a vet for suggestions on finding "Mr Right"?

What area are you in. There is a pet store in Ayer and the owner
has a siamese cat that he will once in a while let out to breed
young females. He is on in the shopping plaza with Ayer House of
    Pizza

Good luck finding Mr. Right for your kittie. We had a heck of a
time finding a stud for our Sealpoint last year. We finally found
one in Boston and the mating was successful - three beautiful white
balls of fur. Not bad for her first litter. But we wanted to breed
her again this year so we called up the owners of Sundance who we
used last time. They said he is no longer in that line of business.
They had had him nuetered. So we ended up having Sunny spayed.
It took us months to find a Sealpoint stud in this area that I didn't
think I could stand months more of Sunny going into heat. I like
    my sleep too much!

Let us know if you find Mr. Right.
    Susan

The pet store in Ayer is Fin 'N Fur. It is in the Fort Devens Plaza.
    Nice cat.

re:1

I agree with you. We had Selina bred last week. It was the vet
that paired us up with the Sealpoint Male we were looking for.

Hopefully we should be having a litter around March 27 or so.

So, I do indeed suggest that you call your vet.

In regards to Fin N Fir in Ayer, the Blue Point Siamese is named
    Zeek (sp?).

There is a girl I work with here in our plant and she had her
siamese bred with Zeek the first week of this new year.

It's so ironic that I, too, had heard about Zeek out here in
    Westfield, MA.

1060.7He is beautiful isn't he:-)SALES::RFI86Ain't no time to hateThu Jan 28 1988 13:014
We had our Blue point siamese bred with Zeke the second week of
    this year:-). What a coincidence.

He must be pretty tired about now, I'd say.
The girl that works with me said that he
had the perfect temperment and coloring.

I wonder, though, how often does he stay at
home. However, he must have the last laugh
at his owner. He gets all the attention
        when he's away from home!

How many other cat owner have had the pleasure
        of Zeke's company?

Zeke is the cat I mentioned in another note about laws forbidding
pet shops to sell kittens. Zeke's offspring sometimes show up in
    Fin 'N Fur.

Gosh, I didn't know Zeke was such a Cassanova; I'll have to get
him to tell me a few stories when I go in there this week ;-)

    Zeke's owners keep their pets there with them while they are working;
it's a family business, after all! And he does his share of the
work, too! He's their Public Relations specialist! They also keep
his sister, Teco, a beautiful blue and gold Macaw, at the store
    to keep him company!

1060.11Lucky Lady Update...SONATA::JENNEYThu Jan 28 1988 20:4323
Thanks for all the input !!!

Zeke certainly sounds like "the Man around Town".

I think Lucky is expecting or had a Very short heat. The book said:
"three weeks and longer for a Siamese" and she only seemed to
be in heat for 3 days.

I also came to the conclusion that I shouldn't intentionally breed
her unless I have homes lined up for the kittens ahead of time.

I think I'll make a trip to Ayer to meet Zeke and talk about future
possibilities. (In cat talk of course.)

(I live in Maynard)...but I'll save that for the 'Meet the Owners"
note I found. It's so nice being able to Add notes and replys
instead of just reading. I should have deleted my notebook and
started over again a year ago....so far this is the only conference
    I've re-listed in my Notebook. (I had 3 pages.)

Thanks again for all the input, I'll talk to my Vet as well Zeke.
