it would be nice to show off Mandycat's adult pictures...and her baby pictures,
and ...well, Hannah would be very insulted if I didn't show off her latest
pics as well...

I'll even throw in Sadie pictures as Nickie seems to have decided she is an
honorary cat - even tho she looks suspiciously like a large red/gold dog...

I'm game.  How about a Sizzler?  If we met for an early dinner, we could
probably pull tables together...or we COULD do a Baker's Square restaurant
and I'd forgo the dinner and just head for the PIE...may a Marie Callendar's?

Someone else decides this time...I picked last time.

    Any place is fine with me, as long as I can get something
    vegetarian.  Most folks are quite a ways south of me (Palo Alto)
    so I don't know much about likely restaurants.  The last place
    was fine, if all else fails we could do a repeat.....
    

    I'm interested too.  Any place is fine with me.  Could we possibly do
    it in May.  I'll be on vacation April 1-21, and I don't want to miss a
    chance to show off my babies' pictures.  Those I met at the last
    Feliner party didn't see pictures of Marnie, because I didn't have him

How bout meeting at a Pizzeria Uno?  They make great pizza, and have lots of 
vegetarian type things to eat.  I love their Spinocolli pizza...spinach, 
brocolli, garlic and tomatoes in a chicago style crust.  Yummm!

Count me in. Is there ice cream or pie anywhere nearby?  if not, it's probably
GOOD, but.....8^}

I'm in town thru at least June, so I'll work on your schedules -- of course,
in late May and June, my mother is in town (well, sorta..she blows through
5 or 6 times on her way to Rebecca events in California - busy lady), and
she can be a handful for me...or anyone else for that matter (seriously,
folks, these ARE the jokes)...

OOPS!  I think I worked too many hours last week...I'm losing my grip.

Post the location and date and I'll bring my shrink....8^}

    Do we want to aim for the "last week" in March (which seems to
    fit the posted schedule conflicts) or wait til May?
    
    How about Mothers and other assorted non-felines
    with a high tolerance for feline pix also welcome?
    

Are we planning this for midweek or a weekend?  I am more flexible during the
week than I am on the weekends.  

Let's keep it open to anyone that wants to come.  There is an Uno's in Fremont,
one in Cupertino, and one in Santa Clara.  There is a Baker's Square down El
Camino from the Santa Clara Uno's (for Pie). ;^)

    Any day is fine by me too since I'm home doing mostly nothing.
    I was trying to remember where the Baker's Square was on El
    Camino so Dian (me too!) could have some pie.  It's not far
    from the pizza place.  Also, Santa Clara would be a bit closer
    for Karen.  (When the Dr. starts allowing me to leave the house
    Wednesday nights will not be good, all other days fine.)

Santa Clara is nicely centralized.  Of course, the Baker's Square proximity
has nothing to do with my interest in THAT particular restaurant....    
well, maybe a little something.. 8^}

Any day is good for me...If mom is in town, she'll love coming along...even
if she DOES have a mini schnauzer (I think, in some circles, it is actually
considered a DOG, but there is no explaining how these fables get started).

Post date and map....I'll buy film for some "current" pics.

    Stitches come out Wednesday morning.  I continue to pretend I'm 
    in the hospital until Monday (is that the 18th).  Although I will 
    be going out Saturday night for The Wizard of OZ.  Timm has been 
    putting alot of time into this show so I can't miss opening night.  
    He'll be chauffering so I won't be driving before the end of my 
    "take it easy" time.  Now if I can find something nice to wear that
    won't bother my lower abdomen (nylons are definitely out)...
    
    So basically, I'm mobile as of next Monday.  I can start increasing
    my activity slowly as of next week.

The 28th is fine for me too.  Pizzeria Uno is on  El Camino north of San Tomas 
expressway.  It is between San Tomas and Bowers.  If you guys give me an idea 
of how many, I will call and make a reservation.

    Are you kidding? ;'x  I thought that El Camino between San Tomas and
    Bowers were good enough directions.  I mean, afterall, El Camino is the
    largest street in all of CalifornIA. :^)  
    
    Okay, better directions for Marlene, at San Francisco go south to Santa
    Clara.  Find El Camino.  When you find San Tomas, go north and PU is on
    the left hand side.  If you find Bowers first, go south and PU is on
    the right hand side.  :^D :^D :^D

snarkiness aside.... 8^}

From the North (as in San Francisco):

take 101 S. to great america parkway.  Take a right onto great america
parkway (that means you are going to go right at the light at the end
of the freeway exit).  You are now on Bowers.  Proceed to El Camino Real.
Turn left on El Camino Real.  Look for the restaurant on your right.

You can also take Central Expressway East to Bowers ave. and turn right...
proceed as above.

From the South:

take great america parkway and cross over the freeway by turning left at 
the light at the end of the freeway exit.  Proceed as indicated.

PS.  I love the term "snarky" - it brings up great visuals!  I can just SEE
what it means...

    March 28 is good for me, too.  Pizza sounds great, and the location is

Marlene and I have elevated snarkiness to an art form! :^D  Thanks for the
directions.  I have a really good sense of direction myself, but that doesn't
mean that I can tell others how to get some place.  It just means that I can
find it easily and will probably never remember any street names.

some folks seem to come with compass attachment....I ain't one of them so I
always have to figure out HOW to really get there.  Oh well, at least I
can usually find my way home...at least eventually.

How about dinner at 6:30 - 7:00 PM timeframe?  enough time to get there, not
enough time to have to figure out what to do until then...for those of us
who don't note in every spare minute, that is?

6:30 to 7:00 sounds great to me.  I will probably either hang out here until 
then or go straight to Uno's and be looped by the time the rest of you get 
there! :^D

    You never know what the traffic will be like...
    

    March 28th 6:30-7:00 is fine with me too.  I did have an offer from
    my father to join his ski trip that day but gee, I really don't
    think the doctor will let me go.  He keeps saying something about
    no heavy activity for 6 weeks.  
    
    Marlene, if you want to take a street that is a little faster and
    has a few less lights than Bowers, go a litte further south on
    101 and take the next exit, San Tomas Expressway (take the 1st San
    Tomas exit, not the second one that goes up and over the freeway).  
    When you get to El Camino Real you will then need to make a right 
    and Pizzeria Uno will be to your left.

    The exact address of Pizzeria Uno is 2570 El Camino Real.  The
    reservation was made for 10 people at 7:00pm, in the non-smoking
    section.  If there are any smokers among us that would like the
    reservation changed, you must let me know ASAP so I can notify the
    restaurant in plenty of time.
    
    If you are planning on coming and/or bringing a guest that isn't listed
    on the guest list, please also let me know right away.  I would like to
    give the restaurant plenty of notice if we need to make changes in our
    reservation.

    Thank you.  We are about to start making some repairs to the "play
    area" (StItCh manages to do damage trying to find a way out) and now
    it's time to plant new crops of Oates - Spring has Sprunggg.  With all
    the cat stuff up there I hardly have a place left to lay out and get a

well really, did you expect to??? the cats certainly consider the sun
terrace THEIR spot - but, liking you as they do, they tolerate your
presence....8^}

don't tell Stitch, but he is adorable...actually, they are all adorable - and
your black cat looks just like my Sam - well, except that I keep Sam's 
back "feathers" trimmed so we can keep his behind nice and clean...if you
know what I mean..anyway, they look like relatives for sure.  sorry we
missed you and I hope you can come along next time.

you got the pie cause Bailey is soooooo cute, and I'm a sucker for an adorable
red-headed cat...as you might guess.

twas good to see ya - and I promise to get pictures before next visit - if
Mandycat aka The Flash lives long enough, that is...she is now officially
in her Kitten Terrible Two's (7 months - 12 months) and she has discovered
the art of jumping onto the bookcase headboards of beds and kicking things 
off onto sleeping humans...great fun for The Flash - the roommate is less than
charmed.  I'm staying out of it....so is Hannah and the boys.

    Yea, Stitch is adorable, and a ham.  Pippin is hard to photograph
    because of her coloring - but Gino is really the handsome one - but
    he's just so shy and laid back that it seems he's always a sleep when
    I've got the camera ready to go - got to try and get some "action"
    shots of him real soon.
    
    I think Pippin might have a little Coon in her, big paws with tufts of
    fur between the toes, fluffy tail and a big fluffy collar.  Richard
    trims it from time to time (I hate it when he does) because he thinks
    it gets in her way.
    
    Yea, they'll let me lay out - and they usually end up with more sun oil
    on them than me - you know - let's bother her - she looks so relaxed.

    Gee, I have been so busy that I haven't even replied to say what a
    great time Ken and I had at the get together.  It was really nice to
    have Michelle McRoberts there, as she was new to the group and to the
    file.  The cat pictures were in abundance, yes, some of them were mine
    Marlene. ;'x
    
    Great fun, let's do it again in a few months.  Only this time I am
    going for that something-something-silk-something pie that Marlene
    had!!  Maybe we could call ahead and have them reserve a whole one for
