4229.0. "Another Kitty Predicament" by WILLEE::MERRITT () Fri Dec 07 1990 15:06

I had a good laugh last night which I want to share with you.

My little Dewey (Dewhead for short and you'll know why in a minute)
was sitting on a chair in the kitchen playing with the leather
strap of my pocketbook. He was really enjoying himself digging
his nails in the leather and leaving bite marks all over.

Well I walked away...and within two minutes I heard this cry for
help. I ran in the kitchen...and somehow the little fool had his
paw rapped around the strap and he got his nail stuck in his nose.
Do you believe it...he was actually stuck in this position.

I panicked at first, helped in out of the situation, and rolled
on the floor laughing. Boy is he going to be a handful..he's
    into everything...Even his nose!!)

Sandy, I can just picture it!! Cats do the darndest things. Ruby has
now learned that if she goes and opens the cupboards in the bathroom
she can then go through the back of them, around the water heater, into
and then out of the bedroom closet. Nothing is sacred! I either need
to get those child proof locks for the cabinets or teach he to close
them when she leaves. I was a little surprised this morning to find
that the nice warm bundle snuggled up to me wasn't Goldie!!

Murdock gets bored easily so is always looking for new things to get
into. His latest is climbing up to the top shelf in Dana's closet, and
he goes by way of his good clothes!! He has climbed up several of
Dana's nice jackets to make it to the top of the closet.

Lately, he has been getting onto the very shelf of the cat tree and
trying to walk on the walls. He cannot understand why he is unable to
do this, but doesn't stop trying to either.

I don't even want to think about what he'll get into next. When do
    those active years stop??

and Nancy he's the undernourshed, sick stray we took in. Four
weeks ago we weren't even sure he was going to make it. Obviously
    the vitimins helped!

Another Dewey (Dewhead) story. Poor Dewey in the last four weeks
have been confined to indoor life ....well we let him out for a
1/2 hour this weekend. The stupid nut was in the back yard which
is all fenced in...he saw something he like on the other side of
the fence and proceeded to go through the fence with his face.
He pounced back and sat there in bewilderment, he couldn't figure
out what happended...so he tried it again,,,again,,,again.
Now you might think this is okay for a kitty who has never been
outside...but Dewey was born outside and lived in a junkyard!
I think when god was handing out brains...this kitty said "no
    thanks...who needs them!!"
