    		CHRISTMASTIME IS HERE AGAIN!!

The colored lights; they twinkle bright
    	And reflect upon the snow.
Children bundled up warm and snug
Are making a man of snow.
    	Daddy's out getting a tree
    	To decorate with popcorn strings
Satin balls, candy canes, and glitter
Topped by an angel with golden wings.
    	Momma's baking cookies
    	For the Christmas dinner feast
And don't forget on Christmas Eve
To put one out for Santa's treat.
The stockings are hung upon the mantle
    	And Christmas carols are playing
"Merry Christmas to you and yours!"
The people in the streets are saying.
    	Yes, Christmastime is here again
And with it love and cheer
    	All for one important baby
Who without, we might not be here.

Wow!!.. as Pokkie informed me .. 19 more days until Kittymas.. I was in
Haverhill this weekend .. doing my kittykat shopping.. and yes I had
their lists with me.. and Yes Pookie was waiting for me to come..
home.. she had her copy.. she wanted to do "inventory".. hmmmmm..
It was nice to see everyone.. I found these adorable kitty
    stockings..
they were so cute.. so I bought 2 .. Pookie thought they were tooooo
small.. so we hung both her "old stocking" and the new one.. Sigh..
and Yes they did get a few "things early".. I know, I know.. I am
a "mush".. Hey Nancy I told Pookie that you were asking
about the wherabouts of my Badge.. she has it in her toy box..
    she said not to worry..
    Regards
    Kate

Thanks Ladies.... I don't get chance to write much
lately but the holiday's seem like a good time to make time.

I'm trying to write one from a kitties point of view...might
    	take a while.... =)

S, H, and LB have their christmas present early -- mum couldn't
resist. It's a sisal scratching post which so far has been greeted
with large yawns, sigh, despite all the usual introducing a
scratching post tricks like catnipping it.

3114.7let's see how it looks over here....WILKIE::IVESWed Dec 06 1989 20:259
Karen, you might try putting it in a different place. My daughter
Holly had one and the cats could have cared less. She moved it to
the other side of the room while she was using the vac, and it was
like, hello, what's this, and they all [4] started using it and
    have continued using it.

Crazy cats, how can you figure them out?

Well, Kate, maybe I need to make you another one so Pookie can
keep the one she's got, eh?

Nancy, she is so funny.,. I am sure you can picture Pookie,
taking inventory of the contents of the house.. labeling everything
with words .. MINE,MINE,MINE,MINE..until she reaches
Happys things..and then the labels say..definitelyMINE..
I did try to reason with her Sunday.. but her reply
was"not worry, it is in my toy box.. and besides you
are supposed to be KittyKat Christmas shopping mummy!!!...
not looking at OTHER Kitties.. It was funny cuz a couple of
weeks ago I went to visit Cin Gerry, and she really did not react
TOOOOOO badly when I came home.. she did however give me a"failing
grade" on the Pookie Sniff Test".. Happy on the other hand was beside
herslef.. it took me few days to get her(read wrench away) to give me
my sweater back , so I could "wash it".. Happy sniffed it , rolled onit
carried itaround..(read and almost tripped over it..) chirped at it..
Currently Happy has my RED furry earmuffs.. she is carrying them
    around,
giving them a bath,, chirping at them..she has even showed them to
Pookie,, and then she hides them.. I "suspect" she thinks they
are her "babies"..and Yes I realize that is a "subtle hint"..
Tuesday nite I went grocery shopping(yuck).. it is "paper bag nite"..
they each get one to play with.. Pookie sleeps in hers..she
occacionally "plays..Happy goes nuts.. we hae toys in there, we jump..
we jumped to close to Sleeping Beauty and we got "evicted.. Sigh..
Lioke I said Nancy.. the labels read .. MINE, MINE, MINE..
    Regards
    Kate
3114.10The plaque says so!!GENRAL::BALDRIDGEFall has fellThu Dec 07 1989 16:1912
Last summer, while at the Renaissance Festival, which is held just
north of Colo Spgs, my wife bought a ceramic plaque with a cat playing
near a goldfish bowl and the text says: "In a cat's eyes, all things
belong to cats". It hangs above the desk in the kitchen and shortly
after we got Cassandra (The Flea), she jumped up on the desk and was
standing up "reading" the plaque very intently. Ever since, she
believes every word of the plaque, much to the disgust of Doobie and
    Peaches.

Ahh, Christmas. Only a couple of weeks to go. I took the day off
today and went down to the beach, had a swim and a sunbathe. Then
I sat outside with two very contented cats and we all soaked up
the sun together. Christmas day we'll eat outside in the sun with
Kimi and Sura (different menues (-:), then maybe go to the beach,
take the boat out, or the wave ski, whatever...

Am I annoying you yet? :-) Remember, we had frosts in July when
you guys were enjoying the sun.

Believe me, Christmas in the sun is something else!

Yes, Panther and Spot are both eagerly awaiting Christmas. They
never meet a present they didn't like. It never matters who it's
    for.

Besides, once the gifts are home, and left in the dining room awaiting
wrapping, they can explore and make comments on each one. Then of
course they help with the wrapping. Panther loves to put the bows
and ribbon on. (It looks okay with kitty teeth marks on it!! ;-)

Spot likes to sit on the wrapping paper and jump on the monsters
that are sure to be lurking beneath the tube. (Lots of ripped paper
in my house, but we all have such fun, I don't know how I ever did
this chore without the develish duo "helping". My husband will
even stop studying (finals are always right before Christmas) to
find out what all the hilarity is about, he usually stays around
    a while to "help" too!!!

All of us wish all feliners and their pets warm safe happy Holidays.

Feline lots of good wishes & hugs and kishes (it rhymes!)

Wrapping presents was a fun experience with my two kitties, Maui &
Casino - it is their first Christmas. Now that all the gifts are under
the tree, they are playing hide-n-seek and pretty much nosing through
everything. I can hardly wait until I get home tonite to survey the
    "damage".

Just a quick message to Shayne in New Zealand - Here in Southern
California we roasted at 90+ degrees (Fahrenheit) in July, and for the
past 6 weeks have been "suffering" at 70-80 degrees, leading up to our
winter season when the temperature drops to the mid-60's (Brrrrr!).

As for the kittie's presents, I can't put them out anywhere that they
can reach them because they have catnip mixed in and of course Maui &
Casino won't wait until Christmas Eve to open them.

Bye for now, Jill (Casino & Maui)
