2474.0. "S.O.S. All Feline Lovers" by ESKIMO::BURDETT () Tue May 16 1989 15:52

     Well I'm asking all of you to be kind-hearted and resourceful now.
     I still have not found homes for 3 beautiful kittens. What are
     my alternatives, with the one exception of putting them down.
     I just can't place myself to do that. Does any know of an
     farms, shelters, humane societies etc.? I know that now some
     elderly homes are allowing small pets? I just don't know the
    approach to letting these folks know I have kittens. Anyone any
    ideas.

    Where are you located? Read note 2469.

    I'll keep my ears open.

2474.2How about a Turkey Farm??NICLUS::MTAGTue May 16 1989 16:5510
    I just spoke with a woman from the Framingham Humane Society yesterday
    who mentioned something about an owner of a turkey farm who has LOTS of
    cats. The cats kept reproducing, so one by one, the cats are being
    neutered. He doesn't mind having them around, just didn't want the
    cycle to continue. The woman I spoke with was Paula Seavey. Maybe she
    can talk to the turkey farm owner and see if he wants a few more.

    Good luck.

2474.3Tell us about them (and answer calls for them posted here)ATSE::BLOCKBack in the High Life againTue May 16 1989 18:0812
	Have you posted a note elsewhere in here with the adoption info?
	There are so many, I'm not sure which are yours. Kittens are
	usually pretty easy to place; while there seem to be more kitties
	than homes, there are still people looking for the right kitten.
	What are their genders and markings? Just how old are they? Long
	or short hair?

	Hang in there -- I'm sure they'll find loving homes soon.

    I have some info about no kill shelters in this area. If nothing
    else pans out send me mail and I'll dig out the names and locations
    for you. You can call around and find one that will take the kittens.

    I second the suggestion of reading 2469. This person is looking
    for gray tiger male.

    Good luck
