4893.0. "I want a new kitty!!!!" by MR4DEC::COLAIANNI () Fri Aug 30 1991 13:35

    Hi all!

I'm in here asking for assistance. I finally convinced Nick (hubby,
BTW he says "hi" Holly.) that Feendoonie (of scratch box fame) needs
a playmate. O f course thet fact that every time she plops down in the
living room, I start saying stuff like "Nothing to do, no one to play
with, no toys, I'm SSSSOOOOOO BORED!" Of course she has plenty of
toys, but I use that anyway.

Anyway, here is my dilemma. Since we just lost a much loved kitty
recently, Nick has decided we need a kitten with certain requirements.
We would like a kitten/cat that is between 6 and 14 months. He would
like a female, but I'm sure that's negotiable. Does not have to be
fixed yet. We will take care of that. Must be able to go outside. (this
is why we haven't just gone to a shelter for a kitten. Don't they
require indoors only?) I live in a very quiet mobile home park in
Hudson, (Mostly senior citizens) so there's very little traffic, and
what there is is slow. (20 mile speed limit in the park, and believe
    me, it's followed. ;-)

I have allergies, so would prefer a short hair, but if I fall in love,
    that's negotiable too! 8-)

Color, I would prefer another black kitten, but like I said, if I fall
in love, any color will do.

I already contacted Sherry about the black kitten in Millbury, and
that girl thinks he has a home, but has my number just in case. I also
sent mail about the 5 month old kitten that Rich advertised, but
    haven't heard from him yet.

Can anyone help me find my new baby????

    Thanks,

    Y

Ooh, yes! Call Janice about Domino. I've seen pictures of her - she's
an absolutely adorable kitten and I know Janice has taken excellent
    care of her.

4893.3I may have found her!MR4DEC::COLAIANNIFri Aug 30 1991 16:2128
    Hi,

I'll keep that in mind. I went out at lunch time to investigate a
kitten I heard about. 16 wks old calico, medium length to long hair,
female, a good size, and a WICKED PURR POT!! Well, as I said, it's
exactly the opposite of all my requirements, and I fell in love. Isn't
that always the way? Your kitty always seems to find you, right? She
came right to me, and purred and purred while I held her. :-)

Now I need to let hubby know I found her and get him over to see her.
If he agrees, we will bring her home. If not, I'll contact you Tuesday
to see if your wanderer is still around and if she is acceptable to
    him.

BTW FROSTY::JORDAN, where are you located just in case? I have a
feeling he is ot looking for kittens as we speak, so who knows what
    will happen later today!

If you wouldn't mind, could you send me a phone number through mail to
MR4DEC::COLAIANNI that I could reach you over the weekend. That's
    assuming you're not going away.

Anyway, wish me luck on having the whole long weekend to get to know
my new baby! (I hope Feendoonie feels the same way I do ;-) )

     Have a great weekend everyone!

4893.4It's official!MR4DEC::COLAIANNIFri Aug 30 1991 17:4516
    Hi again,

Well, my kitten has been approved!! I will pick her up on my way home
from work! (Now will the day EVER get over!)

I'll introduce her as soon as her personality tells me what her name
    will be.

Also, can someone tell me how to go about getting an FOA certificate,
so I can save a few bucks when the time comes to have her spayed? Or
can you point me to the right note if there already is one?

Thanks! I know what I'll be doing this weekend! Watching the kitties
get to know each other! Wish me luck!
