4022.0. "1 Yellow/1 Blue eye!" by CAPNET::DAVIN () Tue Sep 25 1990 13:32

I found a stray last week while eating my lunch at a park in Hudson,
Ma (see note 4016). He was starving and filthy. I fed him my lunch, and
then went back to work. The only thing I could think about all afternoon
was him, on the busy road, starving and cold.

Inevitably I returned to the park that evening, to see if he was still
there. I called once, and he came running out of the woods 100 MPH,
    meowing and looking pretty sad.

I had to take him home with me. I couldn't just leave him there. He
ate for 12 hours straight. I took him to my vet the following morning,
who gave him a bath, flea-dip, de-worming, all his vaccinations, and
altered him. I left him over the weekend, and picked him up last
night. Had to dish out some BIG BUCKS, but I feel it was worth it.

My two kitties at home have been extremely unhappy, which is the usual
course, I guess. But the point is, I cannot keep this guy. I have 2
cats in a no-pets-allowed apt. right now, and 3 would be out of
    control!

He is the sweetest cat imagineable. He is all white, with one yellow
and one blue eye. He has double paws in the front, and is very long
and streamlined (short-haired). He just has been so pleased to be fed and
warm that he is the happiest guy! (I've been calling him George).

He is so exotic looking with his eye color and all. I really hope that
someone can find room for him in their home.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I definitely will not bring this
    cat to the humane society.
If you are interested in adopting him, call me at DTN 276-8773.
    Or send mail.

    Thanks.

    Deborah

4022.1Your Great!!WILLEE::MERRITTTue Sep 25 1990 17:0817
I don't have the answer....but I wish you the best of luck with
this new found kitty. I have three cats of my own....and take
of multiple cats in the neighborhood who are totally ignored by
their owner. Have you tried to find the original owner...try
putting an Ad in the paper, post notes where you found them,
    call vets and shelters etc..

Your note reminded me of our kitty we lost last year....who was
pure white and had a blue eye and a green eye. He was the most
beautiful kitty I have ever seen...but boy what a disposition.

Well I wish you the best of luck....and thanks for being such
a wonderful animal lover and taking care of this baby until you
    can find a permanent home.

I have an exact copy of your cat that I got from the streets of boston
he was a 15lb male. He has Fiv but is very healthy despite the problem.
He was also looking for a home but Snowball has been here 3yrs so it
looks like he staying. The two color eyes is quite interesting to lot's
of people so hopefully when you fatten him up a home will be found.

Sounds like he might make a nice show kitty for the HHP class.

You are WONDERFUL to take him in and care for him knowing that you
can't keep him. I'll say some prayers for the perfect home for him.
