4018.0. "Kitty lost in Watertown/Belmont vicinity" by TOMLIN::ROMBERG (how long 'til the next holiday?) Mon Sep 24 1990 13:55

A friend of mine just called. She works at the Cushing Square Veterinary
Hospital in Belmont. Last Thursday, a kitty that they have for adoption
managed to escape out the front door while he was out of his cage stretching
his legs.

Description:
Very large (approx. 20 lbs) black and white longhair (white chest,
		mustache and front paws)
	10 years old
	altered male
	VERY shy
	answers to the name "Musty"
missing since 9/20 near Cushing Square in Belmont

Elaine and her sister have been looking for Musty all weekend, but haven't
found him. There is a REWARD offered for his return.

If you, or someone you know, see or find Musty, please call

After five and a half weeks, Musty has been found. My friend and her sister
spent almost 3 weeks setting live traps in an area where Musty had been sighted.
They caught several 'possum, 'coons, skunks and even a couple kitties (which
they brought back to the vets to be adopted). Finally, Musty appeared in one of
the cages. Musty has now been adopted (by the technician who let him escape).

Well, after five and a half weeks, Musty has been found. My
friend and her sister spent almost 3 weeks setting live traps in an
area where Musty had been sighted. They caught everything EXCEPT
Musty - 'coons, 'possums, skunks and other kitties. Just when they
were about to give up, Musty appeared in one of th traps. The rest
of the good news is that Musty has also been adopted - by the
technician that let him get loose in the first palce.

BTW, the kitties that were caught are available for adoption
from Cushing Square Vet. Hospital in Belmont. (617-489-4482 (days))
Elaine says that there are a couple of real sweeties.
