3999.0. "2 cats" by FRDON::GOLDBERG () Fri Sep 14 1990 14:15

    HELP!!

Need to find a good home for my 2 cats.. Would like to keep them
together as they are mother daughter, but its not necessary.

    These are nice, lovable animals.

Need to give up due to serious financial problems. 8*( I will
contribute $$ to a foster situation, anything! I will not and refuse
to take them to the pound!!!

Send me mail for more info on markings, etc.

One of them may be showable, if that helps.

    Hi.

Thanks for all your offers. I'm afriad my financial problems are a
little different. I can afford my daily living expenses, including the
cats. I have long term bills that haven't moved or gotten worse for
the past three years. Also car problems, etc. Plus my apartment is
a slum. At this point, its either sink or swim and I've been sinking!

Over the years, I've had friends a relatives offer me a place to stay,
to get on my feet, but none of them have wanted the cats. And I've
always said "forget it then!" But I really can't deal with it anymore.

In some ways they may be better off living in a nice, clean place.
Maybe even going outside once in a while.

So. Thanks again for all your offers, its really nice of all of you!
Keep on the look out for me if you know anyone!

Also, my node had a power surge last night, so anyone who might have
send me mail - I didn't receive it.

    Hi.

The Sterling Animal Shelter will take my cats, provided I give
them $35 a piece and food and kitty litter for one week.

They say they are a no kill shelter.

Does anyone know anything bad or good about this place?

    Thanks

    F.

Please DO NOT take your cats to the Sterling Shelter. There are
already notes in this conference regarding Sterline, do "sho keyword"
to see if any come up.

Sterling IS NOT a no-kill shelter. That's all I can tell you for now.
Contact me via Email if you would like more specifics.

3999.8Lancaster has a no-kill shelterSALES::SMITHThu Oct 17 1991 15:567
I may be too late with this but Lancaster has a no-kill shelter. I got
a kitten from Sterling last year, who's the best cat I ever had.
    However, I don't believe they are a no-kill shelter. I can't believe
they present themselves that way. Maybe they changed their policy?

There has been discussion in this notes file before about people
somehow getting the idea that the Sterling animal shelter was no-kill,
when in fact it is not.
