3985.0. "Quotes worth repeating ..." by OLDTMR::KEENER () Mon Sep 10 1990 20:30

The cookbook Chris Methot mentioned in #3966 is out and I have my copy
    - quite nicely done! And... the money goes to a good cause.

There are two terrific quotes (along with pictures of our favorite type
pet) that I wanted to share with you.

"If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it
    would deteriorate the cat."
    						Mark Twain

"Cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many
different ailments, but I never heard of one who suffered from
    insomnia."
    						Joseph Wood Krutch

Just thought you might enjoy the comments from the old sages that
obviously have some knowledge of the feline mystique.

That Mark Twain quote is one of my favorites.

Another one attributed to Bradley Miller is:

"Teaching a child not to step on a caterpillar
is as important to the child as it is to the caterpillar."

I'm sure I've written it in here before, but it bears repeating.
Someday I'm going to needlepoint it.

BTW - my Animal care catalog has a T-shirt for sale with the Mark Twain
    quote on it.
