3983.0. "Next Feliner Party All Set" by SONATA::BERGERON () Thu Sep 06 1990 18:57

    Hi folks. Due to popular demand we are going to have another Feliner
    dinner - hope a lot of you can make it. We had almost 50 in July and
    have talked with many people that will try to make this one....cause
    they couldn't make the last one.

    PLACE: Yangztee River Restaurant - Rt. 110 - Littleton, MA

    TIME: 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. Last time some people stayed til around 9!

    DATE:  Thursday - October 4, 1990

    The last time most people had the buffet (very good) so their bill,
    with tax and tip, was $12.00. We kept the beverages separate, paying
    as you buy, and that worked out very well. We will do it again that
    way.

    If you can make it - please let me know by 'replying' to this note
    (here in the Notesfile) or by calling me at DTN 276-9323. I am
    temporarily using this node because I have moved...AGAIN...and the
    group I am in now has not been able to get me on their cluster.

    I will call the restaurant for reservations - I am sure he will set
    that room up for us again - and DON'T FORGET TO BRING MORE PICTURES.
    Looking forward to seeing everyone again - meeting the ones that
    couldn't make it - and for all you people that can travel here -
    that week-end should be about peak for the foliage.

    OH NO !!!!!! I am signing up for a class at the Concord High School
    and it is for Thursday evenings. I won't be able to make this one. I
    really enjoyed the last one. If anyone is going from MKO, I need more
    kitty toys.

    Drat, I was hoping to make this my first Feliners party but I have
    class on Thursday nights this semester.

    Not only do I miss a party, but the class has to be statistics.

    Sigh.

    If, by chance, we don't get them I'll definitely be there...however,
    I'll let you know.

    I'm really bummed, especially since I wasn't able to make the last
    one at the last minute.

3983.14Not enough people for the 4th!SONATA::BERGERONFri Sep 14 1990 16:3314
    I have gotten many calls and notes offline and this date is NOT good
    for the majority of people. :^(

    So, I am cancelling the dinner. On the 'up' side though, is that
    many have suggested we do something around the holidays. Now I
    realize that everyone has places to go around them - but now would
    be a good time to secure the restaurant - and people have offered
    to make decorations (cat...theme of course).

    Would you prefer the dinner to be the month of December or the month
    of January - AFTER the holidays. I am open to any/all suggestions.

3983.15Thanks for organizing this for us! :-)OFFPLS::SPINGLERFri Sep 14 1990 16:5314

    I vote for January, It is very hard for us to get to all of the family
    holiday get togethers, due to widely scattered family, so that January
    would be great!

    Also a nice gathering to look forward to to help cure the "post holiday
    blues."

    I agree with January. It will give us a good pick-me up after the
    long Holidays. Then we can show X-Mas pictures of the kids...tearing
    the trees apart, hangin on tinsel, etc....

    Once you get into that time of year you have to worry about the
    weather. How about early November? If not, I'll do my best to
    make a January date, however, since we live in Braintree, if the
    weather is "iffy" I'll have to cancel

3983.19Can I still come?MEMIT::MISSELHORNMon Sep 17 1990 18:0312
    Is it okay for an "ex" Deccie to come to feline parties? It looks
    like I might be taking "the package" and will be leaving in about
    a month or so.

    The biggest thing that I am going to miss is Felines and all of
    you. (To be honest, it's the only thing that made me hesitate
    about taking the package.)

    I was so disappointed about not making the last party and do want
    to keep in touch with you all somehow.....

3983.20Don't Put It Out Too Long!!USCTR2::CWESTONMon Sep 17 1990 20:4711

    I VOTE FOR ------------ NOVEMBER....

    It's that time of year to get into the Holiday Spirit!!!! Shouldn't be
    too bad for peoples schedules and if you keep putting it out, it will
    be so late, and the weather is much more of a "bad" chance in January
    than in November.
